Wijk aan Zee is located on the Noordhollands Duinreservaat, which with 5,300 hectares is one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands. The dunes provide protection against the sea, play an essential role in drinking water purification, and form a precious nature and recreational area. In the densely populated North Holland, the dune area also fulfills an indispensable recreational function.
The dunes are a wonderful place to discover on foot or by bike. Enjoy it!
