View the cycle routesThe tour of Wijk aan Zee is a route of 5.5 kilometres through the landscape around our beautiful coastal town. During the walk, which takes about 1.5 hours, you will take a unique look at the past of Wijk aan Zee.
Read moreThis specially mapped out village walk through Wijk aan Zee is a great way to discover the coastal town. Even if you have difficulty walking, this route is easy to do. You only follow paved paths and as few steep slopes as possible. The walk mainly goes through the center of our village and takes you back in time by means of nostalgic pictures.
The walk passes historical photos that have been placed in 20 places in Wijk aan Zee. A booklet with the route is available at the Tourist Information Point, Voorstraat 12 in Wijk aan Zee. Open Friday to Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
View all walking routesA special bunker tour is organized every 4th Sunday of the month. Strandhotel Het Hoge Duin is the starting point of this tour. It starts at 11:30 A.M., and the tour lasts approximately 3 hours. Admission is € 12.00 per person, including consumption.

'Het Huis van Hilde' opened its doors in January 2015 as the Province of Noord-Holland Archeology Center. The centre was immediately a success, both with the general public and in the media. 'Het Huis van Hilde' was even nominated for the prestigious European Museum of the Year Award.

The Bazaar is a combination of shops, outlets, and stalls with products from all parts of the world. On Fridays, De Bazaar is partly open from 13:00: the fresh market, a few outlets, and the large outdoor terrace with world cuisine.
All shops are open on Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 AM and 6:30 PM. The food stands are open until 7:30 PM.
